We were given the opportunity to upcycle a broken 1994 Colnago C40 frame into RideWear Jewelry. We were not very familiar with the Colnago brand but we were instantly in love with the beautiful color scheme. I realized early on that making earrings is an art, which is why Rachel is the mastermind behind designing and crafting each pair. However, before a pair can be sculpted, the carbon frame must be cut down into more manageable pieces. This is where my expertise comes into play! I may not be the best at forming beautiful carbon pendants or working with delicate wire, but I am great at wielding a 1.6hp, 11,000 rpm, angle grinder.
